St. Michael Parish, along with the Diocese of Norwich, is committed to providing safe environments for children, young people, and adults. Safe Environments refers to environments that are created and maintained in an effort to provide all people with the safest possible place in which to minister, study, and work.
Volunteers and employees of St. Michael Church and St. Michael School must undergo Safe Environments training and a mandatory background screening, along with committing to adhering to the diocesan policies of conduct.
The Diocese of Norwich Office of Safe Environments web page is dedicated to the practices that the diocese has adopted in order to maintain safe and secure parishes and schools. The information on this web page includes:
- Called to Protect Workshop Schedule
- How to Access Armatus Training Online
- Comprehensive Screening Policy
- Electronic Communications Policy
- Pastoral Code of Conduct
- Sexual Misconduct Policy
Thank you for your interest in maintaining a safe environment for St. Michael Parish and St. Michael School. Please email Anita Kapolowicz or call the Rectory at 860-599-5580 in order to register for training.
