The public celebration of Mass in the Diocese of Norwich has now resumed. Bishop Michael Cote has issued guidelines which include the use of face masks and practicing social distancing.
Those who are considered “high risk” due to age or underlying health condition are encouraged to remain at home.
In an effort to remain within seating capacity, a temporary Mass schedule is in effect until further notice:
4:00 pm St. Michael
5:00 pm St. Thomas More
5:30 pm St. Mary
7:00 am St. Michael
8:00 am St. Mary
8:30 am St. Michael
10:00 am St. Michael
11:45 am St. Michael (Traditional Latin Mass)
The obligation to attend Sunday Mass will remain dispensed for all the faithful in the Diocese of Norwich until further notice.
Parishioners who are able to attend a Weekday Mass are encouraged, out of charity for their neighbor, to consider doing so in lieu of a Sunday Mass. The elderly, those in vulnerable populations or with underlying health conditions, and those experiencing any symptoms of illness are asked to follow the most up-to-date health regulations and guidelines and remain home. Two Masses will continue to be livestreamed on Facebook for those faithful who cannot or may not feel comfortable attending in person.
Holy Communion will be distributed after Mass has concluded and not during Mass. The faithful are reminded that they are not required to receive Holy Communion at every Mass they attend.

Mass will continued to be live streamed to our Facebook page (St. Michael the Archangel Church, Pawcatuck, CT) on Saturday at 5:00pm. The traditional Latin Mass will be live streamed on Sunday at 11:45am.
We ask that people pray to St. Raphael for those affected by the coronavirus.
